This 5-day workshop is designed for:

• Highliners with basic rigging experience who want to refine their skills.

• Highliners who want to improve their walking skills or start exploring freestyle tricks. (No worries if you don’t yet manage to stand up, you’re also welcome in this workshop – we’ll make you stand up for the first time 😉

Under the expert guidance of Samuel Volery, one of the world’s most experienced and innovative highliners, you’ll train in the breathtaking Val d’Anniviers, right next to the famous Hanging Bridge of Niouc.

What You’ll Experience in the Highline Workshop

Throughout the week, we’ll rig and train on 3–4 different highlines:

• Two parallel highlines (70m) for direct coaching—Sam will be on a highline just 5m away from you.

• A 30m exposed line anchored to the Hanging Bridge.

• If the weather allows: a 200m long highline crossing the valley

You will:
✅ Refresh and refine the fundamentals of highline rigging.
✅ Train side-by-side with Sam, receiving direct demonstrations and feedback.
✅ Walk a spectacular exposed highline (100m+ above the valley!).
✅ Learn to rig highlines from bridges and vertical cliffs (including abseiling to anchors).
✅ Discover tricks, techniques, and safety practices to build lasting confidence.

Included in the Workshop:

• ✔️ Full participation in the workshop
• ✔️ All highline equipment (except personal harness)
• ✔️ Camping accommodation in Niouc (bring your tent, mat & sleeping bag – or come with your van)

Workshop Requirements

This is an advanced workshop, so participants should already have:

• Some highline rigging experience (even just assisting).

• Comfort moving with a HangOver (or similar device) on a highline.

🚫 You don’t need to be able to walk yet—just rolling and basic handling is enough.

What to Bring to the Highline Workshop

• Weatherproof clothing
• Personal harness
• Tent or a van (a hammock will also work)
• Food (shop beforehand—we’re in a remote location.)
• Safety sling + carabiner
• HangOver (Rolling device)

Optional but potentially useful:

• Protective gear (gloves, cup, barefoot shoes (skinners), bike pants)
